What material is best for.  wooden window pieces? I tried liquor but it cracks. I used a clear material I bought from an automotive paint store for my wooden pick up bed ,
but I forgot what it was.
Does anyone know what works best? Urethane?
Help.

Ken,

I have used PPG DCA468 clear lacquer on the wood you are talking about and the finish looks great and so far it is durable after quite a few years.  I got on to this after looking at web sites about wood finishing and it was highly recommended.  I have also used it on some Danish furniture and it work well there also.
