6V electric fuel pump

I was just wondering about the placement of an electric fuel pump.Should it be closer to mechanical pump or to gas tank.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Charlie M 49 series 62

Charlie,
Hi.  It belongs in the back by the tank. People on this Forum use the Airtex pump with no issues. You can search a million and one posts on the subject with some really great pictures on their set-ups, model numbers, tips, tricks, etc. Good luck!
