Just hope a quick look on eBay. Delcojoe used to do it. Can't seem to find him. Have a couple of 53 ones that need doing.
Anybody got new ones?

I figure that as the two I have are two of about half a dozen valves that I have that need doing that I should give it a go myself. I see that Rare Spares in Australia sells the diaphragm for Holden heaters for $10. I'll advise how I go.
My memory is a bit overloaded these days but as soon as I got the valve apart I had flash backs to previously doing this. Perhaps I did the 57 or 59, years ago.

I did mine on my 57 Seville last year. I couldn't find the seal in UK and was just about to order from the USA at a cost of around $40 shipped to UK when a brand new valve for a DAF truck was listed on Ebay for £5. A quick Google confirmed that the seal is the same in virtually all Ranco valves so I bought it. It took around 2 hours to strip both valves and rebuild mine with the new seal out of the DAF valve. Just got to be careful bending the tabs back when reassembling so they don't break off, they don't need totally flattening down just bending outwards enough to stop the tube and plate separating.

Brought mine, from a '41 60S, to Fusick's in East Windsor, CT. Very good job, works as original. Just not cheap, $220 out the door.

I recently had a 1949 Ranco valve rebuilt by Jim Tucker in CA, and he charged $150 plus shipping.
