Hello All, Greetings from Ireland!
I'm looking for the velcro strip that goes along the back seat to secure the top boot down on a '65 and a '66 DeVille convertible - 2 cars. Surely there should be something along the top where the studs are on that rail behind the rear seat? There is a strip of velcro on the black interiored car - is that original?
I'm also looking for a good quality black top boot for the '66 'vert.  Who makes the best top boots out of solid material that looks like the original AND allows you to snap down the studs on the inner quarters.  I can't get mine to snap down on the '65 - the vinyl seems too tight and doesn't stretch far enough over and I don't want to damage the top frame - or crack the glass rear window!
Thanks Nick

Nick,

The Velcro strip is available in most fabric stores. I taped it in location then starting at the center spotted the holes with an awl installing the hold down pins as I worked toward the outside of the car. Before buying another top boot, place it in the  sun and let it warm up. You'll be surprised how much more flexible it will be.

HTH,
Ralph
