Greetings,
I was wondering if anyone has a method of changing the firewall grommet for the armored ignition cable on 30's and 40's era cars.
I don't want to cut the grommet.
I am hoping someone has found a simple way to take one end off the assembly.

Fingers crossed

Thanks,

Fred,
Hi. Other than taking the whole assembly apart on one side, cutting is the way to go, and barely noticeable if done correctly. Place the Grommet on a flat rigid surface, take a brandy new single edge razor blade, and press straight down thru one half of the grommet. Only someone in the front row could tell that it was cut.......

That was my original plan.
I can hide the seam under the coil
