Im curious, what info can be obtained about our cadillacs through the online resources, mainly regarding our ID tags on the firewall?  I assume color, model, options but there's no way of knowing much info about it's life, is there?  I Always wanted to connect with previous owners of my Cadillacs.  One I bought at a used car dealer, and the other on Craigslist from a guy just flipping an old project car (one of many).

I think it'd be so special to reconnect with previous owners, if any are still alive.

It's hard to get in touch with previous owners. The availability of info varies by state.
If you post a photo of your body tags someone here can decode the car for you. It's all found in the shop manual and they are easy to find on eBay
