Asking for some guidance:
#1 Not sure what they are called so before I start thumbing my way through RubbertheRightWay I thought I would ask what they are called.
Different size holes to be plugged, maybe 12 in total.
#2 Is it best to plug the holes and then apply sound deadening over the "plug" or sound deadening first, restablish the hole and then "plug"?
      Thanks.

Bill,
Yes there are bunches of them front & back floors - trunk floor.

As far as I know they are "floor plugs".

Don't forget to measure the holes, as there are at least 1/2", 3/4" and 1".
And the top overlap of the plug itself, is way larger than the hole you measure.

Buy only the rubber ones - see the pic.
There are cheap as...d plastic ones, that pop out easily.

Oh, plug first, then put over them the sound proofing - mat horse hair back in the day - no Dynomat(?).

Have fun,
Steve B.

I've been looking for the 3/4" rubber plugs and have not been able to find them anywhere.  Any ideas?  Thanks, Larry

Larry,
We have been looking as well.
Our fallback position might be to bore the smaller ones out to 1" diameter if we can't find suitable smaller ones.
If we find them I will post our source.
Thanks.

I have purchased these before, work well, good quality.  Don't match factory originals exactly, but who's gonna look?

Ill add in mcmaster.com like an old school hardware store but online, if you can imagine it they should have it!

I just bought plugs similar to that, for that exact reason I think they were 7/8 for about a nickel a piece.

just for future reference ;)

Found an assortment of rubber and plastic plugs at Skycraft Surplus in Orlando, Florida just off Interstate 4, east on Fairbanks and on the left.     http://www.skycraftsurplus.com/
Managed to get close to the sizes we needed.
Heated up the plastic ones with a short burst of the heat gun and they slipped into place.
Thanks for all the help.
