Can anyone suggest a supplier for authentic "Vicodec" vinyl top material for a 1957 Eldorado Seville?   A friend is doing a full restoration and wants to make sure the result is as authentic as possible.  Thank you.

Richard...Ralph Messina posted this some time back in response to the same question. Perhaps it may be of some help.

Walter is correct about the original material being named “Vicodec”. It was a fancy name for convertible top material. The surface texture is sometimes called “pin point” and is the same as most  ’57 convertible tops. The tops were offered in black, white, light blue, light green (a yellow, not blue green) and copper. You’ll likely have to buy the material and have the top sewn. A possible source for the material is:
Sharp Auto upholstery
1527 Lowell St.
Elyria Ohio, USA
440-322-1954.
There was a thin padding under the top approximately 1/16-1/8” thick. The difficult part is that the front and rear window must be removed because the top wraps under the glass mounting rubber. The shop manual shows how it was done at the factory.
