Hi.  I'm starting the restoration of a 1931 Cadillac V-12.  The steering column light switch base is beyond repair and the original was previously replaced by someone with a non-authentic, made-to-fit item. I'm striking out everywhere I turn in trying to find either a restored or restorable one.  Any information or suggestions would be truly appreciated.  Thank you.

Are you looking for the bottom portion of the light switch or the pot metal part that the switch bolts to? I have rebuilt light switches for a '31 V-12 and I cast in bronze the bracket for V-8 that the switch bolts to. Although, I don't have my books with me so I'm not sure if the 12 and the 8 used the same bracket.
