Looking for a 1960 Eldorado bumper jack assembly. Does anyone know where one might look?

I didn't think there was any difference between the basic '60 Cadillac jack and an Eldorado, so there should be a lot around.

Been looking for months. I believe 59/60 is the same.

There may be a lot around, but so far I can't find one. It has proven difficult to find a salvage yard that has cars that old.

I bent the base on the jack for my '72 Eldorado.

I'm still looking, but I've found full jacks on ebay for $100+ . . .

I'm also curious as to whether the plate can be safely re-flattened (the car rolled back while up; the parking brake didn't work, and "front wheel drive" didn't occur to me that day . . . )

A jack that has been compromised should be replaced.

But, if it is just the base, then there is no reason why it cannot be straightened.
