My father has a 1941 62D that he purchased in 1957 and started hot-rodding it. Shortly thereafter my sister and I came along and it has sat “in the barn” ever since.

I got this wild idea to find one similar for him while he is still around and start working on restoring the original one. I thinking the one I purchase would also help with the restoration as I would have a car to compare. Having not being around them that much, I’m not sure what the current market is valuing these at. Can someone give me some guidance?

Particular questions I have right away is what any modifications do to the value? Does changing out the front drums to discs add or take away from the value? Same for putting in a power brake split system. Power Steering? What about upgrades to the electrical system?

Dale, that's like asking how long a piece of string is. Condition is everything and as to value because of modifications that's also an open book. There are those that would buy it because it had the modifications and those that would steer well clear. A reasonable usable car would probably be in the
$15 to $25K range with really nice ones going for much more and rough ones that need work for much less.
