Hello,

can anybody please tell me the measures of the rear leaf spring shackle bolts? I tried to change the bushings, but was not able to remove the bolts. I probably have to cut them.

Please let me know also where  I get the front bushings for the leaf springs.

I am also interested in hints / tricks for the removing and Installation.

I just ordered a full set of rear leafs, shackles, bushings, etc from Laura at Springsandthings..  They can help you.  You can also try Caddy Daddy in CA.  I bought all the front end suspension parts there.

I have a '55 6237DX undergoing a complete restoration. I got stock front coils at OPGI, rear leafs made to order at Benz Spring here in Portland OR, the shackle bushings at Steele Rubber, and all the front suspension parts at Kanter. Also had extra heavy duty front AND rear sway bars custom made at Quickor Suspension here in Portland. Steering gear rebuilt at Express Parts Exchange in Oxnard CA.
Hope this helps
