Were power door locks standard on the 1957 and onwards Eldorado Sevilles and Biarritz? If so does anyone know where the switch was located? While viewing interiors on You Tube I see everything but.

If I'm right, electric door locks appeared in 1958 as an option on all models, except on the serie 75.
Brougham models had them on the 1957 model as standard; it was an half solution on this model: unlocking the doors was manual.

Cadillac publications from 1957 and 1958 appear to confirm that Roger is correct. Thanks!

As previously stated power door locks were not standard, my 58 Seville doesn't have them.
As to where the switch is, here is a pic of the switch on the drivers door of a 58 SDV parts car.
Interestingly, the switch is located right across from the seat back, so the driver would have had to reach around with their right hand almost behind them if they were sitting in the seat.  I think it was probably just more convenient for locking all four doors at once when you already out of the car.

Thank you everyone for your answers. Never knew that unlocking had to be manual. Was this corrected in '58?

The Brougham electrical system was for most part similar to the '57 one. As the inside door lock handle is the same for 1958, I would say that the system was not changed for 1958. This apply however only to the Brougham models with 400 units for 1957 and 304 for 1958.
