1937 LaSalle fender welting color

Should the fender welting on the 1937 LaSalle be black or the color of the body.

I believe also always black from the factory.  It's only individuals who put fancy colours.

Thanks for the information. My Studebaker friend who is helping us paint the car thought they might be the body color as that is how the Studes were.
