You make sure that you have access to a replacement rubber, then with a sharp knife, cut out the old rubber, and simply lift the glass out of the frame.

You guys are looking at this from the wrong perspective.

That car has 61 years of patina no one can replicate.

Put in late model running gear, fix up the interior, good brakes, you'll be good to go.

I'm just sayin'.

Otherwise, it doesn't make economic sense.

Unless you bought Amazon, Tesla, eBay and Facebook when they IPO'd.

I meant how does it break out like that?  That stuff is laminated, so usually stays together even after getting smashed up pretty well.  I've never seen a laminated windshield have a chunk out of it like that one and not be completely shattered.

The missing chunk is right at the sharp bend in the glass, a natural fault line.  Yes, this is not unusual from my experience (growing up, we had an auto salvage yard!)...

She is up for sale on Ebay again. The owner said that the original color is silver with silver and black interior. Hopefully someone would buy her, restore her and post pictures. She is listed at $7,000.00.
