master cylinder 41 60 special

anyone had good luck  with buying a new master cylinder for a 41 60 special  ? mine is leaking from the rear. I rebuilt it 3 years ago but maybe time for a new one ? thanks john

I think they use the same as the other series in 1941 John with the exception of the bigger series.  I have bought many.

The master cylinder was the same for all 1941 through 1951 Cadillacs, and to my knowledge does not fit any other car. This may not help much as I have had no luck in finding new ones. You may need to get yours sleeved at a place such as White Post Restorations.

I agree with Bob Schuman that you should get yours rebuilt and sleeved.  Another firm that does this besides White Post is hagensautoparts.com in Washington state.  They did mine 10 years ago and I haven't had to touch it since then.  I also had my wheel cylinders sleeved and changed all the hydraulic lines to stainless steel.
