Good morning!  Working on a timing chain replacement on a 72 Eldo.   For those who have done the change with the engine in car, what did you use to knock the timing cover dowel pins back into the block?  Or those that haven't done it this way, any suggestions?  Thanks for any help!

Appropriate sized punch.   Be sure to have rags stuffed into the oil pan lip so nothing especially the pins falls in.   You don't dive the pins all the way through till after you get the cover off.

After you catch both pins on re-install drive the pins back in with cover on.  I lost one once and 5/16" stock works fine.
