What year did air conditioning become standard? Has to be after 1970 as my brochure states that it was optional.

Climate control became standard in January 1974 along with: tinted glass, lamp monitors, a radio and white wall tires.
With a big bump up in base price of course.

Air conditioning was standard equipment on the 1957 - 1960 Eldorado Brougham and Series 75 starting in 1966.

Beginning 1964, all Cadillac factory installed a/c was Automatic Climate Control type.  (exc Cimarron).
