Hello out there ...

My 69 cad limo now has nice powder coated rims and new radial Mastercraft tyres made in Mexico!! ( I hope that they don't jump along the road like a Mexican jumping bean!!)

Q what pressures to run in these radial tyres .....

the tyre placard in the door says :

up to a max load of 9 people

F 28 psi  R 36 psi

up to 5 people

F 23  R 28

but this would be for BIAS PLY tyres ..?? I would think

What pressures do you think I should run for the Mastercraft ( max pressure is 36 psi on the sidewall )

Correct.  Those pressures are for bias-ply tires, I would add 8 to 10 pounds for your radials.  That "max" pressure seems kind of low to me, in my memory it is usually 40 pounds.

Those pressures would have been for Cross-ply tires, so for radials, you would need to raise the pressures a minimum of 6 psi.

BUT, I think the better tyre to run would be the light truck tyre, as car tyres would not have the ability for the constant load of if fully loaded.

If it was me I think I would run the full 35 if that is the limit on the tires.  With a loaded limo you are likely going to be working around the load limit of the tires so lower pressures will just make things worse.
