Within last 3 months I've bought 2 cadillacs a 39 and a 46 I'm 34 and just getting into the cadillac scene and have several questions. Working on the 39 I recently found 2 side mount tire covers in excellent shape I only have drivers side fender with a tire tub and was thinking about converting the passenger fender to install a tire tub to have dual side mounts since I have 2 covers? Any suggestions or just go with a single drivers side tire mount? If I go with making a dual mount fender there is an air vent on passenger side that would be in the way of mounting the tire cover? Is the vent normal for my car? Thank you for any input I'm very young and have a lot to learn but I want to. Thank you

The outside air pickup goes with the deluxe heater only.  I think the sidemount fender does fit with it but can't confirm for sure.

Poor picture but best one I have right now of the 1946, I'm 3rd.owner 61xxx miles going through brakes and fuel lines now 346 runs very well using temporary fuel tank . Original interior, automatic transmission was sitting for 16 years In she'd took me 5 hours with backhoe to clear a path for her to see daylight again

You're off to a good start having it running and almost driving. Looks like a good solid car and will be a great project.     Harry
