From the AACA website.  If only Ron Van Gelderen and Matt Larson were around to see this.  Period photos were included in their LaSalle book.

Jeff,
Thanks for posting that. I thought that car was lost forever.

Too much fun is more than you can have.

I was about to post the link but was beaten to it by Jeff. I like the early use of metallic Silver paint as well as the use of the Frank Burrell intake.

Nice car! I noticed a modification: originally, the car had a rear view mirror on the left door. It was replaced by a fixed vent window...

The vent wings are original. The mirror was an add on. I’m 100%positive that the 53 Eldorado was directly inspired by this car and the two 1940 Cadillacs that Bohman Schwartz built. The cast windshield and full door glass with ventwings external. Dipped doors and top down cover.

Correct !  I assume the mirror was added in 1950's (car was "restored" in 1954) as the car is 100% impossible to see out of with top up.

Sidenote:  Windshield is cast bronze.  Door windwings are very unique and also featured on 2- 1940 Bohman & Schwartz Cadillacs (of which one survives), a 1940 Packard  http://www.maybellinebook.com/2014/05/bohman-and-schartz-created-one-of-kind.html , and one 1941 Packard. Basically, 5 cars have similar top / windwing feature and are all of similar design throughout.
