Guys,

I assume that the 1955 Kelsey Hayes Sabre wheels take the same size tire as the standard steel wheel of the same year?  I.E 8.20x15?  Reason I ask is I'm purchasing both the wheels and tires for my new 1955 in a few weeks.  Thanks.

To my knowledge (based on having owned a '55 CDV with KG sabres) that would be correct.

Just for clarification:

The standard tire size for the Eldorado in 1955
equipped with sabre wheels was 8.20 X 15.

The standard tire size for the series 60 and
62 was 8.00 X 15.

So, if you're going with sabre wheels, go with
the 8.20 X 15 tire.

You are right, Mike, but you should add that the standard tire were without white wall. The optional tires with white wall had the dimension 8.20 x 15.
