For those that are going to the GN, has anyone received a copy of their event registration form yet?

I've gotten mine, Bill.  You might want to call Mike or Nancy in the CLC office if you have not gotten yours.

The show field will be outside. Seminars and evening events will of course be inside.

Will this one be the most warm one?

I bet it'll rank right up there!

I HOPE it doesn't beat KC. Now that was hot!

The hottest I ever attended was in Irvine TX (near Dallas airport) in 1996.  I remember during the hottest time of the day there were very few people out on the show field, with most staying in the ACed hotel.

I second what Jay said about Dallas in 1996. It was a different kind of heat in St Augustine but non the less the humidity combined with temp was stifling.

 FWIW
The San Antonio area is quite a bit less humid than the Dallas area. Peak temperatures are at something like 4 or 5 PM.

I second what Jay said about Dallas in 1996.

The Dallas heat was something else.  I compare it to North India in April/May where I was sent for work in the mid-'70s.

Decades ago I also spent time in the San Antonio / Austin area, including San Marcos, and I don't remember afternoon temps as being as bad.  Plus it will be early June so we should be OK.

Agree with the previous posters.  I was at Dallas
(Irvine) Tx in 1996 and in KC in 2010 and they were
HOT.  I judged in both cases and in KC myself and the
other 3 fellows in the Class 15 crew were about dead
after finishing 15 cars.

After that -- I "retired" from judging.  I vote for KC as
the "hottest".

Good luck to those heading to the TX GN in June.

Two years ago, the GN was held in Las Vegas in April.   Consideration should always be given to scheduling it in April or May when having it in a warm climate location.  I wasn't involved in planning the GN... maybe this was discussed.
But I've lived in Texas for over 40 years, and, yes, it gets hot!  100 degree days are normal for July & August, and sometimes even June.  Just be prepared.
