Hey fellows what are you using for a replacement coil on a 1938 Cadillac?
Thanks

I purchased the KM Lifestyle as it matched the original. I was told I could wire in a 6 volt coil but because the '41 has the armored ignition wire, I was told to be very cautious with that wire, as the wire and ignition switch in original form are not obtainable. If your Cadillac has the armored coil going into a cap at the top of the coil, you'll want to get the KM. It's expensive, but after looking close I understand what the guys were explaining to me.

Jim,

You bring up an important point about the armored cable.  The cloth covered wire inside there can and does deteriorate.  Fortunately, there is a CLC member who can disassemble the cable and switch and insert a new plastic covered wire for years of trouble free operation.  Look up member Martin Watkins of Langhorne, PA in your membership directory.

Hope this helps someone!
