There is a nice 4 page profile of the Gilmore Car Museum, which hosts the Cadillac & LaSalle Club Museum, in the August Issue of Hemmings Classic Car. If you subscribe to the periodical it is worth a read!  I am hoping to finally visit our museum this Fall!

Jason did not point out, for those of you who have never been there, OUR museum building is the white one at the upper left hand corner of the picture.

Have not visited the museum yet, but the aerial view in that image is very inviting.

My impression from flying in and around the Kal/Battle Creek area was the red barns and green fields and woods. I immediately was reminded of the rooster on the barn on the Corn Flakes box. Except I thought about how cold the winters are there...

It is great to see the architecture of the museum blend with that so well.

I also thought about the way Michigan played a significant role in mechanized agriculture and automobile production and the skilled craftsmen who made a lot of that possible.

Thanks for posting...

I have been there and I am looking forward to going back again. This is hands down the best museum period.

It is a very nice article and actually features a picture of our museum along with the Shell service station and the Blue Moon Diner.  The writer of the article also stated that there may be at least two other car clubs in talks with the Gilmore board about building there. The future looks bright for Gilmore and our museum's presence there.
