I'm sorry to report that Paul Lang, a long-time member (and board member) of the Valley Forge Region (as well as a number of other antique / classic car organizations) passed away suddenly on Saturday, 7 July 2018, as reported by his sister Joanne Milke of New Britain, CT.  Paul was a good friend, and could always be counted on to help out with organizing shows and similar events.  He was a perennial contributor to The Goddess with pictures and features--some serious, some funny, and some that made you say, "huh?"

As of this writing, no details on memorials, addresses for flowers, desired recipients for donations, or anything of that sort are available.  However, those will probably become available shortly, and this thread will be updated accordingly.

This is very upsetting news.  Paul will be missed terribly by his friends in the VFRCLC, The CLC and the CCCA where he was extremely active in the Delaware Valley Region.  I just spent a lot of time with Paul at the latest Grand Classic in Gettysburg, PA.  Paul was very instrumental in organizing that event.

As John mentioned, any forthcoming details of a service will be published here.

One thing I forgot to mention / request: anyone who has a story, memory, or anything of that sort involving Paul, is invited--make that urged--to contribute such items for inclusion in a memory page in the August 2018 Goddess.  Thanks in advance!

Here is the latest information available, as of approximately 1:30 PM EDT, 17 July 2018 (copied directly from Facebook):

(This is Paul’s daughter, Kara) My husband Bryan and I would like to extend an invitation to Paul’s friends, colleagues and family to join us for a reception celebrating Paul’s life on Saturday, August 4 between 11am-2pm at The Raven (385 W Bridge St, New Hope, PA). Thank you for your many condolences and kind thoughts.

An obituary will be published this week in the local papers.

Apparently that is not the final word on memorials.  Note that the preceding memorial is one planned / backed by his daughter and son-in-law.  As I understand it, there will be a separate memorial on another date (yet to be determined) planned / backed by Paul's siblings.  Stand by.
