I just learned all three horns are not honkable.  I shake them and they sound like little maracas.

Can these be repaired?  I would doubt it but please let me know your opinions/experiences.  This is not a show car but I want it inline with original.  Are there cooler substitutes or repros available?

According to some parts lists I looked at, the horns are the same from 1967 to 2002. So I'm guessing that a salvage yard would offer the best deal.

They sound good and you will get attention when you push the button. :-)

I repaired the horns by carefully stripping them down, cleaning them out, and either re-riveting them back together, or using small bolts.

The secret is to not destroy the paper gaskets that separate the parts.
