Guys,
Can a 41 Cad 62 series rear end be installed in a 40 LaSalle?? I'm talking axle to axle using the 40 backing plate &  drums, ETC.
Thanks, Bob

Tricky one that Bob as there were several different rear track widths in 1940 but only one for 41.  My book also gives a variation in track, but I don't see how that happens unless it's a difference in tyre width thing.
Each series in 40 has a different track so it will depend on which 1940 series it has to fit as all the 41s are 59-63"  The problem will be if it sits on the spring saddles.  I think that distance is the critical one and if the tyres clear the wheel arches?
