I’ve asked in the “want to buy” section but the replies are limited (prob less people look at that forum) so thought I’d try here also. Mine is giving erratic readings so need a new one.

Does anybody have one or know where to get these 6v units ?

I’ve emailed a couple of potential sources in the US and not one of them has got back to me.

Any advice welcome.

Here is one for sale by Fusick.  FYI: these were the same on 39-52 Cadillacs and, I think, other GM makes too.

Make sure the temp sender on your engine is not using any kind of sealant between the sender and the engine. It should be metal to metal. Using a sealant can cause the sender not to send the correct readings to the dash gage.     Bill

Thanks Jay, I hadn’t heard of Fusick before today and you’re the second person to point me to them in the past hour 👍🏻

Noted Bill. I’ll check that it’s making proper contact before ordering a replacement
