Hi, my 72 eldo engine has got a complete overhaul, and has been overbored by 0.20.

How much is that? Does that mean, that my engine now is 502 CUI, ore 510 CUI or more?

Thanks in advance  :)

504.68 Cubic Inches.

You don't get close to 510 till the overbore is .040

Is that inches (sounds unlikely) or millimeters, or what?  A 0.2 inch
over bore would make a 500 into a 547.  Bruce Roe

Me thinks an overbore of .2 Inch would end up with a block with seriously compromised  cylinder walls. ;)

The OP hssn't been back but I would take a wild guess that he had his motor bored out 20/1000 inches.

Sorry, i thought it was 0.20, but reading your comments, it must be 0.020 inches.

That's okay.   It takes a while to understand the measurements that are used when one is not familiar with such things.

When I get an engine rebuilt, and there is a requirement for oversize pistons, I make sure that I have what oversized pistons are available before having the block bored.
