Does anyone have a recommendation to free my antenna so it'll function?  Its about 3/4s extended now and the vacuum works from the radio but it doesnt move.  I think the seal inside is fossilized...lol.  my radio works but I feel it'll work a hell of a lot better if the antenna mast was fully extended.

If it's never been rebuilt the seals inside are likely shot.
They are leather I believe.  A guy named Klaus Wojak
was the "go to" guy for these vacuum types but he retired
several years ago.  He rebuilt my '55 antenna 10 years ago.

Unfortunately, I don't know of anyone who is currently
rebuilding these.  I also don't know where parts can be
found.

Perhaps one of the other forum members can help.

I have heard that he is still in business.  Klaus Wojak, Box 553, Banner Elk NC 28604, tel: 828-898-9338.  Years ago I was told he prefers phone  calls in the afternoon.

Have you tried taking the vacuum lines off the antenna there  not that hard to get to and try moving it gently my hand making sure you don’t bend the mast. The top portion of the mast is not vacuum operated you have to pull it out by hand.

Contact Lars Kneller. He just had his antenna re-done. He likes e-mail best. Good luck.
