Hi all,

Is anyone aware of a good resource with instructions on how to rebuild the vent windows (mine is a '60)?  I've just ordered new glass and am going to need to completely disassemble them, rechrome, new rubber and liners, etc.  Any tips or resources you can point me to?

Rubber the Right Way or Steele would have the rubber, and Restoration Specialties should have the vertical channel.

I did find this resource which is a step-by-step for restoring the vent windows of a 55-57 Chevy, so there may be some useful info here.  I'll know better once I sit down and look at mine.

I don't need to remove the frame from car, the chrome is good.  The driver's side vent glass on my 58 convert should be replaced.  Can it just be pulled from the frame while in the car?  Then new rubber and glass inserted?  Does someone already have the glass with the proper "bug" on it?
