General Information Needed About My 66 Calais

So i got a 66 Calais and this is also my first Cadillac I've ever owned. It's in need of some love  haha.   I never messed or been around these year Cadillac's. So i'm not sure how everything works.

Is there turn single lights in the dash of these or just on the fenders?   Is the rear trunk lid self locking/shutting? I see a vacuum line running into the lid  along with a cable running to the latch part. 

Where is the 4 way flasher located? dash is apart and not sure where it's located. 

I found a part in the trunk that I'm assuming bolts to firewall. It looks to have a level on it?

And i need a power window relay as this one is corroded and not sure where to find one or if something newer could be made to work?

The best way to answer these questions is to buy the 1966 Cadillac shop manual and body by Fisher manual for 1966.  Then even these will not answer every question, although most, and for those questions go to Cadillac shows that have 1966 Cadillacs and you can see what the answers.  Owners are more than happy to help.

I don’t have a 66, but my 68 ELDO has the fender turn signal indicators.  No lights on the dash. 
The trunk lid is released by the button in the glove compartment.  The trunk lid should pop up about 6 inches.  As the lid is raised there is an arm operating on the right hinge.  Looks like it has a shock absorber attached.  It raises the catch.  As the catch latches on to the lower latch it triggers the spring that pulls the lid down tight.  Slamming the trunk lid can damage the lower latch mechanisms.  So many times they are not working.

Turn signal indicators on front fenders only from 1960 - 1970. With this arrangement, dash indicators were considered superfluous therefore not provided.

Remote (glovebox) trunk release (without pull down) was available as a dealer installed accessory. Power pull down was factory installed only. When so equipped, glove box release would automatically be included.

Hazard flasher was optional in 1966. It could have either been installed at the factory or by the dealer.

Could that gizmo with the level be the guidematic sensor?
I seem to recall there being something similar on my 65 Fleetwood.

Yes on the Guidematic as Glenn mentioned.

The flasher is installed under dash, on left hand side, Red knob.

  Thanks guy's i worked on car today i see no 2nd flasher so i'm assuming it never had the option. I seen the button in the dash and then moved to trunk to find the hose with a hole.

  I disconnected both ends and tried applying air pressure to it. It comes out one way okay but other way not so much so ill have to install a new line through the whole car :/

 But with vacuum hooked near the latch it does work.   The cable to assist in closing is broke and needs a new one. The shock is just hanging not sure how it's supposed to look when hooked up. 
 
Also is there a vacuum can that helps assist the trunk/ect? I found  what looks like one in the parts pile but not sure how they work or which nipple is inlet/out

It has a switch pitch transmission.  Some owners ignore it, some
take advantage of it to improve performance.  Bruce Roe
