Greetings.

Trying to help a buddy.

Been searching the archive and not having any luck. Has anyone ever added the trunk pull down/release to a 78 Eldorado? Yes, a well-optioned Biarritz and it doesn't have the trunk option.

Appreciate any guidance.

Thanks.

Possible, you would need all the donor parts.  Wire up a switch, doesnt have to be oe.

I think that the auto-release will be a relatively easy addition, and you can likely find everything that is necessary in a salvage yard.  The auto pull-down will be a bit more of a challenge since, if I recall correctly, the stationary catch for the cars that are not equipped with auto pull down is tack welded to the body (I could be wrong, but I seem to recall considering this addition to a car once, and decided that it was going to entail more effort than it was worth - to me)
