 Hello,
Got my fuel sending unit out of my gas tank and sent it out. Been 2 months now with a lot of double speak from the re builder. They say I need to be patient. My mechanic is about to put my car outside due to such a wait. I have looked online for fuel senders along with looking all over this forum. Some say Pontiac and Buick are the same for this year. I have sent out quite a bit of stuff for rebuilding and repair and only have this one item left.  Everything else is done and ready to go. Any suggestions? Thanks, Paul

Hello,
Google TANKS.COM and buy one of their 80 ohm sender units. Cheap and instantly available. Make sure you get the correct pattern of screws and you can adjust the float mechanism to suit your tank. 80 ohms is compatible with your fuel gauge.

Cheers,

PS: I've just done this on my 38 Cad 60S and make sure that you are careful when inserting the unit that it does not get hung up on the interior of the tank because you will always have the same reading!

The only issue is that mine has the pick up tube built in.

My sender unit guy called last night to tell me it was done and ready to be shipped. I was doing quite the happy dance! There we several items on this LaSalle I hope never to have to find again!
