Any thoughts on this situation:  when my engine runs at a higher rpm at warm up maybe about 1200 rpm or so, there is a loud rattling coming from the area of the trans. It goes away at lower idle rpms. Could this be a Torus cover rattle?? I can’t see anything in that area where the trans connects to the engine that would rattle. It’s loud too. Any help or thoughts on that???

Does it do it in park?   How about in gear with your foot on the brake?

It does it in park when I push the gas and the rpms pick up. It does not rattle at lower rpms. What could be going on?

Could it be a loose drive plate?

Sure it is the transmission?  Or just somewhere nearby.  Is the exhaust system secure and tight, not able to bang against something if you grab ahold of it and give it a shake?

How does the transmission shift?  Sounds like my 61 Coupe when the front torus died.

The trans shifts fine. It’s does not kick or anything like that. The only thing is reverse to low gear has a moderate kick. I have not been able to adjust that out.
