Hi, how do I get a photo from my cell phone onto the forum profile? I have a SAMSUNG 8.

Email the picture to yourself from your phone, go into email and download the picture and save to your computer. 

Then click the Profile link on the forum menu above, then click Forum Profile from the popup submenu. 

Under the Personalized Picture section select Upload an Avatar.

Then select Choose File to the right, navigate and select the picture you saved on your computer and then click Open.

Scroll down and click Change Profile. 

Done with no tech savvy children

From my iPhone you can load the photo directly from the phone. I assume Droids and other smart phones work the same.  To load from iPhone:
- go to forums.cadillaclasalleclub.org and sign in
- click Profile in Header, then Forum Profile
- Under Personalized Picture with upload avatar selected, click 'Choose File'
- select Photo Library and find the picture on phone
- Click Change profile at bottom

Another alternative if you sync your iPhone to desktop/laptop:
- When you connect your iPhone to desktop/laptop it should give you an option to open up the iPhone as a new folder.  From there you would simply update your Profile picture from the desktop/laptop using the same steps, but would browse the new phone folder opened when you attached it to desktop/laptop for synching.

- You can also simply copy the picture file from the iPhone once connected to any location on your desktop/laptop and upload from there.

Problem with uploading from your phone is that the photo will very likely be too large.  You want to stay under 1000 px wide.

On an Iphone if you mail it to yourself it gives you choices on image size.  I am not sure if an Android does that or not but you should choose the small or medium size.  You can still do all this from your phone if you save the emailed pic to your photos.

I just posted a picture attachment direct from my phone. Took about 15 seconds.
Once posted I can then get the URL (address) of the picture by right clicking on it from desktop, select properties and copy the address, then repost using the image icon and insert the width= command on the left side bracket to make any size I like:
   

100 pixels wide:


250 pixels wide:


500 pixels wide:


This probably took all of an extra one minute.
