What are they thinking or smoking?  Why dump on a good brand?
EV's sales hit the wall recently when the EV rebate went off, and the Volt was cancelled?
Musk's sunk cost is not supported by his sales in my view.   Let him fold on his own.      Bring back fins or something stylish and exciting to compete they don't have!
If electrics were so good, then we'd all be driving Baker's for the past hundred+ years.   Hybrid makes a bit more sense from an engineering view but at what cost?
Until the polymer lithium batteries are available, en masse, but exclusive patent situation, and if they can find enough lithium to make them all, you still have that nasty fire hazard, if battery gets punctured in a crash.  Gas has to find a source, batteries already have one on standby.   There was a pix of a scorched EV crash car, not pretty.  I think it crashed on auto also.  I think they sued or are suing for that one.   1 guys view.

People said that hybrid sales would hit the wall when their subsidies ended also and that was far from true. Electric drivetrains are perfect for Cadillac, nothing beats the power and smoothness of an electric motor.

Reinforces my previous point also, too much expenditure on a small and uncertain market = raise prices.
Musk has not met his cost targets because he continues to spend capital with limited sales.
