Hello

This is a 6467, Body #95 (October 1959) from the factory Carrera Green and Dundee  interior with an Ivory top. With this attractive red dress, what do you think it will gavel for on January 18, 2019?

Personally I would rather have Carrera Green and Dundee with Ivory  top.

It is about time that sensibility comes into the buying of cars.

The higher the price, the more the agents scrape off the top, and increase the hype to get that extra commission.

fact of the matter is,, is some one wants to pay for it, that is the market value at that time,, for that car,,,commissions, etc aside,, that is taken in to acct from the buyer,, so,, like it or not, that is the price or val ue at that date, for that car at that time

It's so hard to place a value on cars without knowing the options, the history of the car and it's condition.

I'm surprised insurance companies use auction prices to set values. Not sure how else they would obtain a valuation though.

Could a price variance be as much as 25% to 50%?

You can’t base anything on one auction vehicle.
I will say that it’s becoming a hobby for resto-mod enthusiasts as those cars are bringing way more than most of the original cars being sold.

And 1.1 million for a NEW 700 HP  Camaro?  It should be called Strangeworld now Westworld but it is a circus after all.
