Hi everyone!

My '47 Series 62 Sedan is missing a few fuses (radio, heater motors, cig lighter, etc). I am trying to figure out what the stock fuse amperage ratings were (ideally for ALL of the fuse) so that I can replace the fuses that I am missing. Does anyone happen to know where I can find this info?

Thanks

Hi Justin,

I've never seen a comprehensive list of fuses and amperages.  The only place I've seen piecemeal information is in the Master Parts List.  I can give you the following I found in the 1948 MPL dated 8-16-1948.  All entries found state they are good for 1947 cars:

  • radio:  14 amp
  • back-up light:  20 amp
  • fog light switch:  20 amp
  • Automatic Heating System:  20 amp

DISCLAIMER:  This is what I found in the Master Parts List.  I have not verified these by looking in a car.

I couldn't find any specific listings for cigar lighters or anything else. If anybody knows of other fuses, please chime in!

HTH,
Jeff

Jeff,
This is very helpful, thank you.

Come to think of it -- the cig lighter may not have a fuse. I may have just disconnected it.
Thanks again!

The '47 Service Manual has the wiring diagram in it.

Thanks Bobby, but I already checked my Shop Manual and it only notes the existence of a fuse, not its amperage rating.
