Hi guys,
Just wondering if someone can tell me if a steering wheel for a 1976 Eldorado would be suitable for a 1977 Coupe De Ville?
We are needing a new steering wheel for a roadworthy but not sure if the two models mentioned above are interchangeable?

Hoping someone has the answer!

Thanks

You have to look at them side by side to see if they are the same.

They are a different look.  76 is a 3 spoke and 77 is the big rectangle.    Other than the look they should interchange as long as they are both telescoping or not.    The telescoping ones have several additional parts that you may need to mix and match so your parts one should ideally come with all those parts.    These parts would be the bell like piece that fits over the end of the column and the shaft/lever for the tele lock.  I don't remember if there were some other little parts or not, maybe something to do with the horn contact?   I think when I put an 80's wheel in my 73 I had to keep the 73 bell and lock screw but needed the lever from the 80.    I had a non tele Pontiac wheel for a while but it didn't look right due to some hacks I had to do because it wasn't a tele.
