Laurie,
I just had a new top put on my 70 Coupe. I had a local restoration shop do the work. They removed the trim, the top, the rear window, sanded all old glue, repaired minimal rust in window area, reinstalled rear window and all trim. I bought the correct vinyl top from SMS, the total bill was $3,500. Your final costs definitely depends on the amount of rust there is under your vinyl. Just some ballpark info for you.
