Does anyone have a photo of a London Gray 59 convertible?
I've never seen one!   But my local dealer had one!

Ha!  No.

Josh Noiles sent me this photo of a London gray Limo.     Looks like a non metallic finish.

That model looks a bit like 59 Impala wheel covers  :o

Dave,
According to the Cadillac Bulletin #22
Stock Order and Code number
Lucite Acrylic Lacquer - London Gray Metallic #2966 L

Ditxler Automotive Finishes - does not call out matallic, but calls it - London Gray Poly - DDL 31839
DDL stands for Duracrylic

In the 1959 Cadillac Color and Upholstery Selections - Dealer Book - London Gray is # 16.

Hope this helps.
Have fun,

Steve...nice book!

Dave...for the record, I've never seen any '59 Convertible in London Gray.

Another color that didn't seem to be very popular in '59 is Dunstan Blue which I have only seen once on Series 62 Convertible in person.

Eric,

Thanks, the book was hard to find and it has actual color chips on rings and swatches of every cloth or leather offered at that time.

But, I forgot to mention that the color chips in the book also show the London Gray to be Metallic.

Have fun,
