Anyone ever soo one of these?
It’s the 1969 dealer display for AM/FM and Eight Track.
It’s missing the sign but the cabinet and all components are here as well as all of the instructions.
I have tons of Eight Tracks for listening in the garage.
Not looking to sell this. I would like to replicate the sign if anyone knows what it said of if you have any showroom books or photos that may show this unit.

Thanks
Brian

Yes.  A guy I know in CT has one.  No sign with his either.

The signs were probably cardboard and I guess they didn’t survive.
I’m thinking about updating it with a 1970 radio and making up a sign with a Cadillac script and photos of both of my 1970 Cadillacs.

It's got the "mid-century" look in spades which has become so trendy nowadays.

Great find Brian - but I would probably err on the side of leaving it as found. I assume it's powered by 120 V AC from a wall outlet and a transformer that converts to 12V DC. Probably not a bad idea to get it checked out before using it.

Oh yes. I’m going to check the power supply and all of the wiring before plugging it in.
I work on electronic security systems all week long so this is no big deal especially since there is a large wiring diagram that came with it.

It won’t stay plugged in when not in use.

Mikey suggested powering it up slowly with a variable power supply. Might have to get one of those.

Brian,
Great find. I think the radio could be changed out into a 70. Wink!!

Brian,  what makes you think there was a sign for it?

What does the paperwork look like?   Can post a photo of it?

76eldo

Here’s the rest of the info.
Set up sheet shows the shape of end sign and the brackets for the sign were included.

Very cool!   Thanks!      I'll try to see if the CT owner has the sign somewhere.

Dan LeBlanc

OMG.  I wouldn't put that in my garage.  I'd have it in my living room in a heartbeat!

I've got a working AM/FM signal seeking mono 1970 radio in my tool box for safe keeping if you were going to update.  Remember, though, you'll need the 1970 adapter harness instead of the 1969 one unless you'll just wire new plugs into the old plugs somehow.

If you want the radio, I can bring it down to Art's next time I'm there (probably May for the Kelly show) and you can have it.  I've got no use for it.
