My replacement engine for my 1942 6719 has an after market oil filter.  What color were these fillers when new??

What brand is it? I put a NOS Fram unit on my 1940 LaSalle. The canister is the same orange that Fram still uses. The lid and the brackets are black. The paint is kind of low gloss, but not quite flat.
