Guys,

My 37 is finally working the way it's supposed to. I've noticed that my transmission shifts smoothly but it feels as is if the fluid is low. I have the oil however I have no clue what size the fill plug is. Looks to be around 6/8".  Does anyone here have a link to a vendor that sells these? I couldn't find squat on the net.

pretty sure its a pipe thread size, either 1/2 inch or 3/8 any hardware store should have one.it has a square end on it for a wrench,at least that is how mine is?It is on the side of the case, you fill it till it starts to ooze out the hole, then you put the plug back in.I sometimes use a pair of Vise grips if i dont have the proper wrench when im under there. The fill plug is on the passenger side. Mine has a square inverted hole for removal which a 1/2" drive ratchet works. Some of these plug holes have been rounded and can present a challenge to get out. Hope your's is not one.

On mine it is the opposite,it has a square block that sticks out,its an outie not an inny ;D. must have been changed along the way, either type will work as the threads tighten up as they are screwed in. Harveyb

...I was struggling with how to explain so I had to resort to pictures.

1/2 drive will work?  Looks bigger than that.

1/2" works as long as the hole is not distorted. Hopefully it will not be too tight. If either is the case some thin shimming may be necessary. Good Luck,  Harry

Could also weld something in there or to it, if it's that clapped out. I've had to do this with oil pan plugs many times. Good Luck!
