1960 Zinc Plating

Just sharing information.

I restored my hinges and bolts using a local zinc plater. They charge $25 per rack and will plate anything that fits on the rack for that price. I had both hinges, all the bolts, front hold down and engine vacuum lines done on one rack. The hinges were plated and then  yellow chromate dipped all assembled with the springs removed.

After this I started plating in my garage on my own. pretty simple with household items other than buying a yellow chromate concentrate.

Your results look impressive,  can you give me some more  details on your set up as I would also like to be able to zinc my own parts.
