1958 Rubber rear main seal ??

Can the two piece rubber rear main seal be used on all 1958 365ci cad motors?  I seem to remember it's "serial number" sensitive.

Your are correct. The '58 engine from number 50990 has the rubber seal. However, for engines prior to this number, Best Gasket is offering a neoprene seal instead of the packing.

Worth note , The OEM type rubber seal will not interchange with the earlier rope seal...’best gasket’ has engineered one specific for it.
