I came across these photos doing some research.   The car has a Derham emblem on the front fender!

I took at quick look at the Vatican Museums carriage house inventory and didn't see it shown in their collection.

I wonder what ever happened to it?   I'm sure it must be in a private collection somewhere.  With that special single rear seat and writing table it must have quite extraordinary inside.

I'm pretty sure it is in the Bulgari collection.    Harry

The things you don't see,

When I blew up one of the pictures there was a full reflection of another limo.  Looked like a 40s Chrysler product. Actually looked like a Plymouth.   Doubtful as a limo. Most likely a Chrysler.

Hey Bob,
I saw that too. My guess is a 41 Chrysler Imperial limo.

I did a Google photo search of Bulgari collection cars and I didn't see the 47 Cadillac.    Lots of common cars in the collection.   You would think if he had it that there would be photos of it somewhere.

The car is in The NB Center for American Automotive Heritage a.k.a. the Bulgari collection. It resides in Rome. I just submitted a story to the club editor for the Self-Starter about another Vatican related Cadillac in the NB collection and I will be writing about the 1947 car in a future issue.  Stay tuned for more photos and information.

Thank you!  Looking forward to seeing it.    I still haven't come across any photos of the 47 Limo.    In one video of his collection in Rome it pans past a 47 that has flag stantions on the front fenders but it doesn't have the Derham emblems on the front fenders.   But I suppose those could have been lost over time.
