I would like to know if anyone with a 1931 caddy with a vacuum fuel system has ever put an in line fuel filter on, in addition to the gascolator that is already on the bottom of the vac tank? And if so would the vacuum system pull the fuel through the filter.
Thanks in advance

That is an excellent question. I have the same idea and am curious if anyone has put an in line filter in the system ??? If so, has it caused any problems with the vacuum tank??? Thanks in advance !

My 1930 Cadillac did have an inline filter which looked original, at the top of the vacuum tank so filtered the gas on entry to the vacuum tank, have attached a picture below. It has a small cleanable mesh filter inside. No idea how well it worked as this was removed from the car when I got it and is just sat on the shelf now as I no longer have the car.
Kind Regards
